Primary healthcare designed for rural communities with accessible consultations, telemedicine support, pharmacy, diagnostics, and transport assistance closer to where people live.
Sahara Rural Health Centres are designed to provide primary healthcare access in rural communities through a sustainable, affordable, and inclusive model.
Sahara Rural Health Centres are mandal-level outpatient facilities established to deliver primary healthcare in rural communities.
Each centre is staffed by a graduate-level doctor and a multipurpose health worker, and is equipped with pharmacy and diagnostic services, as well as an electric auto for patient transportation.
While consultation and transportation services are provided free of cost, pharmacy and diagnostic services are offered at affordable rates. The revenue generated from these services contributes to the financial sustainability of the centre, allowing continued support for healthcare delivery in underserved areas. The model ensures that people with health concerns—especially those with mobility challenges—can easily access primary care and be connected to advanced care when needed, without the burden of travel or high costs.
